Table and brazier combined: the S235 steel centerpiece, custom-made in our metal fabrication workshop. Quality you can feel: 317 kg of solid steel, 3 and 8 mm thick – a piece built to last for decades.

Two steel options:

  • Raw S235: raw workshop finish; its appearance evolves naturally over time.
  • S235 Corten: self-patinating steel, develops a stable and protective patina with a uniform, warm hue.

Optional stand: each stand fits each brazier. Stand models may vary depending on the stock of repurposed steel – photos are non-contractual. In case of out-of-stock stands, the brazier is offered alone.

Dimensions: top 148 × 148 cm, height 111.4 cm (stand assembled), 317 kg (brazier only).

Transport: price ex-works including VAT, excluding transport. Delivery cost depends on location and fuel: after your order, we will get back to you with an assessment of your order within 3 to 5 working days. Free pickup available at our depot in Villiers-sur-Loir (41).

Usage & Maintenance Tips (workshop advice, no guarantee)

Accelerating the patina: the "Flash Rust" mixture. On new steel, the reaction is very satisfying to watch.

  • Mixture: 200 ml hydrogen peroxide + 2 tablespoons white vinegar + 1 teaspoon salt.
  • Application: use a plant mister, spray randomly for a natural look.
  • Timing: preferably on a cloudy day or late in the day. If the sun is too strong, the mixture evaporates before reacting with the iron.

The first fire: "baking" the patina. This is the key step for a metalworker's brazier: once your brazier is nicely orange (after 24 to 48 hours of exposure to open air), light your first real fire. The heat transforms the surface rust (orange iron oxide) into a more stable and darker layer. It is this thermal shock that gives it this high-end industrial look.

Metalworker's maintenance. A raw steel piece is indestructible, but it evolves:

  • The base: the first rains will cause "rust juice" to run off. Be careful with your patio slabs: place the piece on bricks or a sacrificial support initially.
  • The finish: for a dark "leather" look and to avoid marks on clothing, wipe the exterior with a cloth soaked in linseed oil when the metal is still slightly warm (not hot!).
